Ableton Live 11.3.30 not recognizing Kontakt 7.10.6 VST3
I just updated Kontakt to 7.10.6 and now Ableton live can't "see" the Kontakt 7 VST3, even though it is in the correct file path (where it was last time and where Kontakt 6 VST3 is and can be "seen").
Any ideas? I have re-installed Kontakt twice (from Native Access) and I have the latest version of Ableton Live 11. I've got an M3 MacBook Air running Sonoma 14.6.1
I can access the AUv2 for Kontakt 7, so all is not lost, but I'd prefer to use the VST3.
Thanks!

ok maybe it got blacklisted? Not sure where live keeps its plugin lists but you could try temporarily taking the VST3 out of the plugin folder, rescanning plugins, then move it back in and scan again, so it sees it as a new plugin

Kymeia - thank you SO much - this WORKED. I removed the Kontakt VST3, did a deep re-scan (
hold ALT/Option and click
"Rescan β
for anyone who stumbles across this answer in the future), then returned the VST 3 to the folder, did another deep re-scan and Voila! I am so appreciative of your assistance.πππCoffee on the way!

Can you also open the Kontakt 7 plug-in? Or does it crash?
If it crashes, please apply these steps: Kontakt Crashes
Make sure that Ableton and Kontakt 7 have full disk access: How to Enable Full Disk Access on macOS
Reinstall Kontakt 7 and deep-rescan all installed plug-ins. To start a deep rescan,Β hold ALT/OptionΒ and click "Rescan."
Is it showing/working now?

Unfortunately that didn't work. I can open the free-standing Kontakt 7 without it crashing. And I can open the Audio Units version in Ableton and Logic. Logic does not use VST, so I can't test it there).
I had tried a deep scan before but it didn't help. This time I did as you advised with the full disk access, and then re installed Kontakt 7, opened Live and did the deep scan - no change.
But thanks for trying to help - I had not previously set my Kontakt instrument to full disk access, so at least that is right now.

Try a reboot now you have set full disk access

Nope. Reboot did not help. Then I realized that I did not give full disk access to Native Access (NI installer program!) (Just Kontakt, Reaktor, etc). So I did that too, re-booted, re-instlalled Kontakt 7, rebooted, opened Live and still no luck!
