Hi,

I'm having an ongoing issue/bug with Kontakt 8 Chords Tool where when triggering from either my Montage M, or my Maschine Studio (midi mode) results in constant stuck notes.

Wondering if NI are doing anything to fix this, or if others are having this issue as well?

I've tried reinstalling, same thing happens. Tried latest build same thing. Any clue what's going on here?

    Bump, hoping someone from NI can comment. I've already sent tech support a ticket, they are clearly aware this issue is happening.

    If you're having the same thing happen, please send tech support a ticket, so we can get some movement on this from the developers. As their Beta team didn't catch this, and this is an obvious one. Thanks!

    It looks like a note off script bug, possible workaround is to replace the current humanize script with the factory one for midi input.

    Anyone figure this out? I can't get the notes to end in either Ableton Live or Logic.

    No they haven't even responded. This was posted almost 2 months ago. It's an unusable feature at the moment. NI are aware of it, but no fix yet.

    I'm am having this problem now as well. Stuck midi notes in Kontakt 8 - both NI and third party developers. it's not my keyboard - I have checked with midi monitor and it sends both note on and note off events. Have put in a support ticket as well.

    This issue is still present in 8.2

    Chords tool is not sending out note offs resulting in stuck notes when sending midi out.

    Same thing here , just confirmed this bug is still happening. ( Kontakt 8.2.0 | S88 MK3 )

    Reproducible Bug :

    1. Press and Hold a Note / Chord on midi controller

    2. Now change a the Chord Preset

    3.Notes will sustain.

    Conclusion :

    Developers : Kontakt 8's not sending a proper note off midi message before Program Change.

    If anyone else has a different thing issue ( on their end ) please explain in detail what the Reproducible Bug is, I can't say for sure if this is the only issue happening here.

    Also please mention the midi controller you're using to play kontakt 8 with.

    When we do this, we also are showing other companies there's a desire to have these tools working stable and correct. Here's a company that has quickly tried to make a better version of it. >

    So don't be afraid to voice your thoughts as a customer. Other companies are indeed watching us struggle to be heard here. And here's what happens because of it, maybe NI will fix their issues, maybe not, but now you know, this isn't the only option anymore, right ?
