Traktor Pro 4 Stems sometimes play muffled.

Hi, When playing a stems track in Traktor Pro 4, on a MacBook Pro M1, the track loads and plays correctly, but will suddenly play muffled, and the visual sound wave will appear blurred.

For example, this is how the track in Deck A should look…

But here is the same track playing muffled…

You can see that only the drums sound wave is correct. When loaded, all the sound waves look correct. It's during playback that the issue occurs.

Does anyone know why this is happening and/or more importantly, how to prevent it from happening?

Thanks in advance,

Mark

is your cpu meter full? I cant tell from here, could be that when the cpu is overloaded it is causing this. I'm only guessing based on the images.

Does this happen on either deck?

I also noticed odd behaviour with my stems, I think they wouldn't display properly until I reloaded the song or something, it was weird, once I do another mix I will look into it

Thanks for replying. The CPU meter is almost empty. As this is a reproducible issue it's looking like a Traktor Pro 4 bug which is hopefully being looked at by NI.

This occurs when the playhead jumps to a different part of the track, e.g. if a Fade-In cue is triggered by a Fade-Out cue on a different deck and the waveform doesn't refresh.

Is it always the same track(s) and at the same minute/sec?

It occurs will ALL tracks that have had stems generated by Traktor Pro 4, any time.

    To replicate this…

Load stems tracks into deck A and B.

Deck A, add a Load cuepoint at the beginning of the track and a Fade-In cuepoint half way through the track. Then have the playhead of Deck A positioned on the Load cuepoint.

    Deck B track, add a Fade-Out cuepoint.

Begin playing Deck B just before the Fade-Out cuepoint.

When the playhead reaches the Fade-Out cuepoint on Deck B, Deck A will begin. Deck A will jump to where the Fade-In cuepoint is. This is where the waveforms do not update/refresh.
