Hello. I want to control an external synthesizer with the F1. The MIDI mode works on my computer, but when I plug the F1 into the synthesizer nothing happens. Is it even possible to control a hardware device?

It sounds like the DEVICE port will only detect class compilant usb midi controllers which F1 is not. You might want to connect controllers that doesn't require any drivers to be installed.
The MIDI mode is controlled by software on the computer, so it's unlikely to work on a standalone synth. Which synth are you plugging into ?

I use a black box from 1010music and would like to play the individual samples with the pads of the F1 and control their volume with the faders.
