Hi. wonder if someone can help.

I just downloaded some updates to SG Elec Sunburst, Picked Acoustic, Electric Mint and Stradavari Violin. All I done was hit the update button and didnt change locations or such like. Now these instruments are gone from Kontakt and worse still my existing songs dont have them and in the case of electric sunburst shows now as demo in red letters with a broken interface. Is there a way to roll back or can someone advise whats gone on here? No idea where to even start to fix :-(

What's your current Kontakt version?

Chances are they're now needing a Kontakt version higher than the one you have currently installed.

Furhter investigation would suggest this update is a newer version of these instruments, not compatabile with Kontakt I bought two YEARS ago…..no longer works ? Maybe it would be an idea to put a warning on stating such an update means you can no longer use software you are perfectly happy with, having paid £1000 2 years ago !

Thanks. I hadnt appreciated this would happen when I downloaded the updates and the most annoying thing is, I didnt want to update as they worked fine anyway! :-( …my Kontakt is only 2 years old. Now IM gonna need to either pay for the next one or not use something I use all the time. Pretty miffed to be honest. Thanks for the heads up tho.

Just looked… I have Komplete 13. Its £359 for upgrade and for that, I get new 15 and a few instruments I can use. Truth be told, I'd been thinking on it (just as your post come in, I pressed the bloody pay button) but thanks for the help anyways. I suppose Im future proofed for another two years now and so that will be about £180 per year for the next 2, albeit paid now with new versions of stuff I can use (Guitar Rig and Kontakt alone wouldnt be much less). Thanks anyway though buddy. I appreciate the help.
