Kontrol S4 Mk3 – screens freeze when laptop screensaver on, or Traktor app is not visible

I have a brand new Traktor Kontrol S4 Mk3. It is fully updated and has latest 0.6.1 firmware, I'm also running the current Traktor Pro 4.0.2.

My problem: the screens on the S4 "freeze" and don't update when Traktor app is not visible on the mac screen.

This is really frustrating and misleading, e.g. the track might be about to run out, but the time on the screen is frozen from when my screensaver came on.

I don't like to have my DJ software visible the whole time I play – I use my screensaver regularly, so I can focus on the music. I also run Traktor alongside my DAW and other software, with Traktor running on a separate screen.

This is what I would expect:

  1. The screens show current, accurate track information at all times, independent of what is on the computer screen.
  2. If that's not possible (which is ridiculous considering the price of the hardware), then the screens should blank out, i.e. show nothing, so there's no misleading info displayed.
  3. Another option would be a config option to completely disable the screens. It's better to not use them if there's a risk the info will be incorrect.

When will this problem be fixed?
