Plus Troubleshooting, first time use w computer

I just received mine in the mail today and finished installing all the vsts and software it came with, as well as registering the hardware on the plus and installing kits.


When I attempt to plug in my laptop for controller mode, it isn't being detected at all and is stuck w the power button being an orange light. I've tried re-installing maschine 2, starting it in standalone mode and then connecting to usb and it still isn't allowing me to control my device with the software, only in standalone mode. Any ideas what I might've done wrong with setting up?


Note, I used to have an MK3 which I sold awhile ago, but I don't think that should interfere with my device or registration.

    Try switching between MIDI mode and Maschine (normal) mode on the controller?

    On a Mikro mk3 atleast, the button combo is Shift + the upper left button (two circles with a square in middle)

    You can also check your controller with the Controller Editor
