Using Arkhis, Strylight or Pharlight for inspiration

Hi,

While any instrument of this series can result in a finished piece (they sound fantastic!), they are also great ways of getting inspiration.

My hint is to load a video related to your inspiration, and start improvising on it. Create a first track in the DAW with a first patch. Create a second track with a new patch. Continue with all the tracks and patches you will need, up to the end of the video.

The resulting piece will contain an incredible amount of suggestion for the final orchestration. Move the harmonic and melodic content to the final piece, and orchestrate it taking inspiration from what the NI instruments already gave you.

    Nice! I think your suggestion can be used for just about any instrument. It helps if we just occasionally have "play time" like we're five years old.
