Question about expansion packs

hi i recently bought machine+ and i have question. through out the information i saw it seems like if i'm gonna buy expansion packs buying bundle(komplete ultimate etc) is better than buying individual this is all i know and i have two questions

1. if i'm inspired by kanye west sampling ways of music will expansion pack be useful to me?

2. if it is useful i would like to have bundle of komplete but except expansion pack can i use another bundle instrument if i hook my machine+ at computer and use it as controller(no other midi keyboard)

Hi! Yes the Komplete bundles are the best way to get expansions for the least money (per expansion), plus you get all the other stuff too - but that really only works on the computer.

The Plus gives you the best of both worlds, as you can use it standalone with all the expansions and the onboard synths & FX, and when you connect it with USB (no power supply) it works with the Maschine software.

so except expansion i can't really use tons of other vsts with machine even if i hook it up to computer?

The expansions are really the only thing NI sell as addons that work standalone on the Plus. Most of their products are for the desktop software - using the Plus as a controller (then it's just like a Maschine MK3).

I suggest you spend time learning what the Plus can do standalone first. You might be surprised.
