Is Traktor 4 included with purchase of Kontrol S2?

Hello everyone,

I recently purchased a traktor Kontrol S2 on July 10, 2024 with traktor 3. From my understanding, Traktor 4 should have been included? Im not sure if NI had a certain cut off date until they included it with Traktor 4 with the purchase of hardware since Traktor 4 was released shortly after my purchase. Or would I have to purchase the upgrade? Any help would be appreciated from the NI or community, thanks!

Traktor 4.0 was released on July 17th. You bought your S2 a few days earlier so it's not shipped with 4.0. Contact NI Support and they might be able to do something for you.

If you buy a product from a third party, it might be old stock bundled with 3.x. Buy from NI directly to be sure you have 4.x bundled with it.

Hello, and if I am about to buy one but where I am located there are only resellers that might have the old version, is there a way to get the 4.0 version instead by contacting the NI team beforehand? thank you

Good question, i don't have the answer for that one. Perhaps @Friedemann_NI has the answer?

Update: I emailed NI and they provided me a copy of Traktor 4 no extra charge, thank you!
