I can not access the Bravura Scoring Brass library in Native instruments

Hello,

I just purchased the Bravura Scoring Brass complete and installed it onto my external hard drive. I followed all of the directions and navigated in Native Access to where the library is located. The Native app says that it knows where the location is, but it will not show up in the native app. The text title is there, but the photo representing the Brass library and the library itself are not present. There is only a blank rectangle where the Bravura brass should be. Is there a problem with me having the library on my external hard drive? I have managed this with other apps and they work just fine? Can anyone help? I can not find a phone number to call anyone for support.

Thank You,

Rich

This library makes no mention of needing Native Access.

Given it's age - I believe this is loaded via the Kontakt "files" menu and not via the Library area (or the left hand panel with the fancy vendor tiles).

I am guessing it's good ole .nki file that will load right up via the Files tab.

    Ok, thanks!
Would be possible for you to give me a little guidance on exactly how I would do that? I’m not Familiar with this particular application or any other products from Kontakt or Impact. This is my first experience with this. Guess I’m a newbie lol!

    Thanks!

Sure - give this a go - here is an example of a "files" only library on my workstation:

    1. Click on Files
    2. Navigate to wherever you are storing your Kontakt libraries
    3. Click the main folder
    4. This should expose a standard *.nki file that you can double click on to load into Kontakt.

I’m glad it has nothing to do with the fact that I installed the library on my EXTERNAL hard drive.

It seems to be working, but it is making me load one sample at a time. I had to click on each sample and there are many of them, in order to get it to download. Is this really the way this is supposed to work?

    Have no idea.

It's a third part library - maybe reach out to them for correct install processes.

I tried it through Cubase 13 and it seems to be working! Although its still not showing up in Native instruments like its supposed to. But thank you so much for your help! At least I am getting sounds out of it now!

It will never show in Native Access as that is not needed.

Glad you got it to work.

Hello Rich 55, if you are having issues with the thumbnail icon in Kontakt 7, this Knowledge Base Article can help you to solve that:

Thumbnail Picture Icons are Missing in the Kontakt 7 Browser

Please let me know about the results afterwards☺️

I have my Bravura Scoring Brass showing (without icon pic) in Native Access 3.13.0 and works fine in Kontakt as well as Komplete Kontrol. I don't remember having to do much with it at all other than install it with their Pulse Downloader in December of 22 and following their install procedure which included pasting their key into Native Access (I think) and it all worked fine.

Hello DunedinDragon, it has no icon because it is a 3rd Party library, some 3rd party libraries appear like that in the Native Access, but as long as they are working it is just a cosmetic thing.

    Is it working?

It absolutely works just fine. According to the vendor it's just never been converted to VST3 format.

    Hi Everyone,

I have a new problem now with the Bravura Scoring Brass Library. I moved the library to a different location. I put it in a folder with all of the other Native Instrument libraries. I previously had it in its own individual folder on my external HD. So, now it shows up in Kontakt 7 stand alone, but not in Kontakt 8 stand alone.

I also cannot see Bravura Brass in Kontakt 8 in my Cubase DAW as a plug-in either.

I reinstalled Bravura Brass again using Pulse, but that did not solve the issue.

I tried to load the Bravura Brass library into Kontakt 8 using the File finder, but there was no .nki master file on the Bravura Brass folder. However… there were many many .nki files in another folder named 24bit which I understand is only for windows platforms. I have a Mac.

I tried clicking on one of those many files anyway to see what would happen and that particular sound downloaded into Kontakt, but I could not get it to generate any sounds.

I could see from looking at the volume meters that sound was being generated, but for some reason I can not hear the Brass sounds.

I’m truly stumped. I’m trying everything, but my big question is: Why isn’t there just one master .nki file that will load into Kontakt? Also, why am I having such a problem just because I put it in the same folder with all of the other Native Instrument libraries?

Would putting it back in its own individual folder make a difference? Could this be because it’s a third party app? Why should it matter?

Does anyone know why this is happening?

    Thank you!

    Rich
