I cant open the software Maschine

I can't open the software Maschine that I just bought. It loads vst and plugin but then gets stuck scanning audio unit MiniGrand__x64 (seen screenshot attached).

I just deleted all minigrand files from my Mac, tried to restart the laptop, and reinstalled the software, but it still shows this issue. I can't go further, never even got the chance to open the software and I can't start to work on my Maschine hardware, pretty frustrating, help!

I had this happen because the AU being scanned wasn’t licensed (it was a leftover I didn’t get removed after a trial) and it was hidden under the window asking for the SN. Try moving the Minigrand_x64 plugin out.

Also, that x64 plugin, I’m guessing you’re on an Apple Silicon Mac? In computer nerd terms x64 usually indicates Intel, it may be that the plugin either is hanging because it’s x64 only and won’t run easily on Mac SIlicon. See if there is a prompt popping up to install Rosetta v2 which is a translator for x64 to Mac Silicon, it doesn’t work with everything though and that could be why the hang.

    Hope that helps.

    Thanks for the reply, Trekkie.

I have already uninstalled and deleted the Minigrand_x64 plugin. The problem is that now when I try to open Maschine, it stays as in the picture above, "scanning AudioUnit(s) - MiniGrand__x64" and never opens.

In an attempt to fix this, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Maschine software, turned the computer on and off again, updated the laptop to the latest version, with no success.

As for Rosetta, I can't even open it because Maschine won't open fully. Catch 22.

Very grateful in advance for any further help you can offer!

it sounds like you are still missing a VST or AU for that Minigrand_x64.

There are two locations they can be. The first is your 'user' library directory, the other is the system directory.

To find the User Directory library - it's hidden. Switch to finder, click on 'GO' and hold down the option key. THen library should appear, and click that.

    Check Library/Audio/Plug-Ins

and see if anything is under there. If not. The next step is while in the finder to go to your Computer folder by hitting Shift - Command - C. You should see Macintosh HD in that window. Double click that and you should see Applications, Library, System and Users. There may be an extra log file or two, but usually it's those four folders.

Click on Library, Audio, and then Plug-Ins. You should have VST or VST3 subfolders if you have any plugins, check each of those folders. Now, if it's an AU (Audio Unit) it'll be under the Components folder instead. Just make sure there's no Minigrand_x64 thing in any of those folders. You dont' have to delete it, could move it out to a folder on your desktop if you want, but that'll help find it since it's still showing.
