A Smoother with separate times for up and down?
I seem to remember someone had made a smoother with independent smoothing times for ascending and descending smoothing operations.
I know about ZGabr's CSO smoother where you can set it to smooth ascending only or descending only, but that's not the one that I'm thinking of, this one had full bi polar smoothing at all time but with independent time per direction.
Does anyone remember this and remember who made it?

Mike, do you mean an event fader?

No, there was a core based smoother that had separate smoothing times for increasing values and for decreasing values.

Here's a couple I have in my library -->

Here are two I made that I use sometimes.
One is a wrapper around the Reaktor "Lin Smoother [A]" core macro.
The other is a weird 1-pole lowpass filter that has different frequency responses based on whether the input is higher or lower than the output.
Basically, the first one has a linear response and the second an exponential response. Because the second one is a filter it runs continuously. The first one stops when the inputs and outputs match.

I have one Mike, sorry I haven't been in for a while. You still need it?
I set the time values to 1 and .5. Anytime the new input is equal to or greater than the output of the previous value, a 1 is sent to the smoother. If the input is lower than the previous value the comparator switches to .5 on the smoother. If desired you can also connect the input directly to smoother input. As shown it has a 1 sample delay. It should work but I didn't test it. Just put the core cell where you want it. Of course the values on the latches can be anything you need.

The above is for audio use. This is for event use. As you can see turning the dial up has a 1 second slew. But going down it's faster at .1 second. No thanks necessary, I already owe you one or two.
Alternately if you wish to stop event outputs when the value is reached use this smoother.

Huge thanks to everyone in this thread, I got this all sorted out now.

To Studiowaves, your zip files report an error on mac "Unsupported file type", don't know why, but they do.
What program did you use to zip them?

I used winrar and chose the zip output. I can re-up it as an ensemble. One is audio, the other for events let me know when you get them. I accidentally added the wrong file with a 2 in the name which doesn't work. These do.
