Is there a way to get my S49 to work with Kontakt instruments as it does with Komplete Kontrol? AND can this keyboard load and work with the Berlin Series?

S49 MKII does not have the fancy Kontakt control capability like the MKIII does.

You will need to move up to the MKIII to control Kontakt directly from the keyboard.

Well in fact Komplete Kontrol works in combination with Kontakt which is why when you change a loaded instrument to edit view you see the traditional Kontakt interface. KK simpy gives you additional features like light guide support and being able to load NON-NKS supported 3rd party instruments both of which Kontakt cannot do. I don't use Berlin series but even if it is not NKS certified, KK can run it. If it is NKS, you can run it on KK or Kontakt standalone. You can find non-NKS instrument only through the file menu on both 2.9.6 or 3.0, depending on which one you use.

Thank you for taking the time to help the helpless. I'm afraid I don't understand most of the terms you have spoken about. You see, I'm old and fairly stupid. I did take a very good class with a NI specialist and she was able to explain something like what you said and I can now load everything. I wish there were a button to push for the elderly so that brilliant people like yourself can start from the very beginning with us. But thank you for trying.

If you are a visual learner you can take a look at my youtube tutorial on this subject. Good luck with your learning curve. Stick with it. It is worth it.
