Hey everyone,
I typically make my own beats but I was overly inspired by a pre-made beat that came in an expansion pack and before I knew it, I had written a whole song around it and recorded the chorus. My question is, was this all for not, or can I still release the track commercially?

    Yes.

    You are just not allowed to:

    • take a pre-made example song from an expansion pack and release it as your own
    • take samples as they are and release them as a sample pack

    So just to make sure I fully understand a “combo” wav file from one of the packs wouldn’t be considered a pre-made song?
