Flexible beatgrids and downbeat shift
What is the most effective way to use flexible beatgrids when the downbeat shifts? I have a song where the downbeat (the '1') starts on what would typically be the '2'. I can explain the current method I'm using to handle this, but it feels cumbersome. I'd appreciate knowing the recommended procedure for this situation.

Have you got a track in mind we could explore? Would love to test out an example. And add some screen shots.

Of course, and thanks for your kind offer.
The song is "Nena - A COLORS SHOW [Explicit]" from Ye dry (02:33). Before the outro, the new '1' begins at what would be the '3' in the previous counting. I have attached a screenshot of the unaltered beatgrid. The new downbeat starts at the cue point (white arrow and red bar).
Let me know if you need any more information.
Edit:
The beatshift might actually happen a bit earlier. I don't think it changes much, but I just found out that you could start counting the different beat a few bars earlier (please excuse me, I am not a musician and I am not trained very well to identify such things).1
