What machine did you build yesterday and what DAW are you using?

Fwiw, as we talked about alternatives and as VST Buzz is closing, XLN Audio's XO is on sale there.

Defenitely not comparable to Battery in many, many aspects, but it's got some killer features IMO.

€69 and in case you apply the code "VST15-SSG24" on checkout, it's another 15% off.

Love XO! Different beast completely - but one that every sample drum fan should own.

Btw, I'm just considering Steinberg's Absolute 6 (they've got some nice 40th anniversary deals going on and I even got a voucher of a mate). So I started evaluating Groove Agent yesterday, and while I hate a whole lot of things with it (most of all the super-cluttered, button-knobs-and-menus-everywhere-ridden interface), it's certainly got some pretty powerful features. A lot of them being exactly what I'd loved to see in Battery.

Will give it some more demo time, but at €150 for the entire Absolute bundle, that's pretty much a no-brainer, even if I may one day end up using something else for my percussive needs.

As a follow up to my last post, by now bought Steinberg's Absolute 6 including Groove Agent.
While being quite different in some aspects, it will pretty much perfectly replace Battery for me and then some. There's some things I'll miss (such as being able to see a huge amount of cells at a glance), but nothing mission critical.

Byebye Battery, we had some nice 2+ decades but unfortunately your parents treated you like an unwanted stepchild.
