Session Percussionist with 6/8?

I'm struggling to work in 6/8 (or anything else besides 4/4). It seems that everything in the instrument is built for 4/4, which is a great pity.

  1. I can't find a way of filtering grooves to see only those in 6/8 like you can in, say, Addictive Drums. That would be very useful.
  2. I can edit the grid by sliding the arrow to the left, but then I end up with timing of 4 + 2 rather than 3 + 3. I've tried using Edit Grid to remove step 1.4, but you can only remove the second part of the step, not the whole step. The only workaround I can see would be to create a new pattern for each instrument, editing the grid to 6 steps and changing the pattern so that the second half of the pattern is steps 1.4, 2.1 and 2.2, and then gettng the pattern browser to try and find something similar. I think it would work, but that is very time consuming.

Does anyone have any better ideas?

    Anyone? Surely there are other people who don't always use 4/4..

    When you go into Editor view/mode, at the top of the main section will be measure numbering;

    ex. 1.2, 1.2, 1.3, etc.

    At each end of that bar is a little arrow/triangle that you can pull left or right to reduce the number of measures. If you grab the arrow to the right and pull two measures to the left it will go to a count of 6 instead of 8. Going to a count of 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3 instead of 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4.

    If you select Ensemble presets called "6/8 Colors" or "6/8 Ensemble" they will be examples of this.

    If you do this to any of the patterns you will need to adjust the instrument parts pulse to a 3/4 or 6/8 feel.

    I should have said pull two "beats" to the left. My apologies.
