How should I set up my computer?

If you're on Windows 10 as your profile indicates you just need to grant Administrator Rights to the NA application.

There is a lot of problems with this app, both on Windows or OSX side....and once you have them, because there is no proper uninstaller, it can drive you nut because it totally block your ability to use yours paid products on your computer, you need to reinstall your OS

Maybe try BC Uninstaller to Uninstal anything (Windows only)

Also erase native / traktor folders in shared documents (Windows)

    Good luck

Before going to that extent I'd suggest you take a bit of time and make sure you have Administrator rights assigned to the Native Access program.

Use the File Manager and navigate to C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\Native Access\Native Access.exe, right click and select Properties, select the Security tab and verify that you have Administrators as one of the Group or user names, Select the Administrator group and verify it has full access permissions in the lower box.

The problem is that NA shouldn't need Admin Rights to function. It's not asked of me when I use any other VST products.

That knowledgebase article is itself as utterly useless as the NA installer, the NA app, NI's subsequent Customer Service, the quality of their developers, and the fact that a product with a manifestly failing auto-update process is still being distributed when it has proven so futile and problematic.

And, to add insult to injury, the NTK Daemon hosted on NI's GoogleDrive is set to view only and not downloadable:

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/11ljCs1ZowUWBptK3OKLF5GwG_n9iWZgx/view

NI manage to spew forth oodles and oodles of marketing hyperbole and sales rhetoric whilst accompanying it with such poor customer-centric support coupled to an abundance of hubris.

NI, you have become a laughing stock - my patience has worn out. You're not listening and you're certainly not learning.

Hello xoxorr, sorry for link is not working.

I asked our team about this link and once I get an answer I will let you know about the situation.

In the meantime, you can maybe try downloading the latest Native Access version(13.0.0) and you should also be able to download the latest NTKDaemon version with this download automatically, here is the link that you can use downloading the Native Access in case you may need it:

    https://www.native-instruments.com/en/specials/native-access-2/

    I hope this helps☺️

Hello xoxorr, is the issue resolved with the latest update?

If the issue persists, can you please try this direct download link for the NTKDaemon:

I am in the same boat, trying to update from NA 1* to NA 3*. I made sure admin privileges are present for NA installer and program, turned off all AV and Firewall, etc etc. I even downloaded a software removal tool to clean the registry and deleted main directories. I am not sure I deleted all App/Local or App/Roaming directories so will try that tomorrow. I've now spent a total of approx 18 hours trying to get this to work. Yes I've contacted support very earlier today but no answer yet. Please help. I'm exhausted by this software install.

Note: There were two Registry entries I didn't delete since they seemed to be system but were labeled as Native Instruments. I forget the names now but they both started with R and google mentioned them as windows related.

Why not a clean installer/uninstaller? Why not a log?? This should be easy. No, I will not reinstall OS, ever. It's loaded w stuff. Dual boot machine windows 10 / Linux, but I had a clean NA install to a machine I use as a backup and test that is very similar dual boot, but it didnt have NA 1*.

Is NA2 trying to write something to the boot record? I assume not given my test system doesn't have any issue, but I'm grasping at straws after trying nearly everything I can find.

I believe I tried the NI Registry Cleaner, but I'll check and try again tomorrow.

I upgraded my NI package last week and can't access all the asoftware.

I tried again removing all traces of NI, turning off all protections, rebooting, and running installers as admin. Nothing worked. I'm still waiting for support to get back to me. Can someone from NI help?
