Maschine + [as plug in] crashing Ableton Live 12. Unusable. Anyone else? Thank you.

as another user posted here with Maschine crashing Logic Pro, I got the same problem here with my Ableton Live 12, config is;

Mac book Pro

m3 max

48 gb ram

Sonoma 14.5

problems started first with switching between groups / group button , and I thought first it could be a energy overload due to the backlights etc. . tried 4 different usb adapter incl. external energy on/off . but during the last days its almost random during my Maschine usage . doesn't matter if I tweak a filter or change groups / samples lol ..

HOW EVER

this happens only when I use the controller, not when I do everything with the trackpad only in my live session and its crashing regularly my rock solid! system…was sending alone during the last 3 days 10 crashlogs to ableton (not kidding)

"Updated all possible that I know of. It seems to happen when I touch a pad after a few minutes of use. Otherwise, my pro rig is bullet proof. Almost ended a first time writing session yesterday with a known artist in with me from another country. Can you imagine? 

I'm looking for other options unfortunately.

as some one mentioned in the "logic 11 pro" thread ;

same workaround seems to function within ableton too :

keeping the plugin window open !

as soon as you close the window, ableton crashes immediately

@Matthew_NI is this a problem you already aware of ? the logic thread is already one month old.

I'm not sure if this will be a general fix or something more specific for each DAW. I noticed similar behavior with Maschine 2 software and Maschine plus in controller mode. I was using LUNA and Maschine 2 with Maschine plus as a controller. If I load a recent project from the Maschine software into LUNA, all tracks are fine. If I try and add more parts by playing the pads, everything crashes. I sent a trouble ticket to UA but never thought to see if others had similar experiences here.

I'm running into the same exact issue. I always run Maschine inside of ableton because I like the workflow. In a session yesterday I tried to open again and again and everytime we touched the pads it would all crash, very very frustrating. I've been using maschine in ableton for 10 years and never had an issue. I just got this new computer M3 max and am using Maschine software 2 and mk3 hardware.

I did notice it doesnt crash if I leave the plug in open, but who wants to do that. Please fix this asap, it almost ruined my session yesterday but fortunatley I can still make good drums on Ableton. Starting to regret my recent purhcase of the mk3, maybe I should just stick with Push.

sorry, the answer sounds little bitt off to me . can you elaborate more on this and a release date ?

as far as im concerned , it sounds like a massive flaw at one of your products (and yes, I tested it also via cubase 13; Maschine is 100% un-unstable / unusable too)

We have Customer Support - they can be reached at any time.

I'm not sure what else you want me to say? A bug surfaced, was reported, was filed, has been fixed, and is currently being tested. When it's confirmed as fixed and stable, that fix will be shipped.

what I would like you to say is quite easy ; a predictable timeframe when the "fix" will arrive

how ever, so far the best thing we both did, was keeping this thread on-topic, so every one else can make his own out of the information you not delivered

your "customer support" was never famous , but it became quite a joke (ki chat like ******, hast du dir das mal selber rein gezogen??) specially after your 30% lay-off disaster some years ago. Im quite sure you aware too , and your tone in general is enough to understand that there is not so much to get from you guys anymore

fine for me, im so used to Maschine and its quirks, im keeping it going

for everyone else might be the best time ever, with all the other gear available, to make another decision

Hi there,
same problem with logic and Ableton.
I've just created the beginning of a track in maschine in standelone, and worked on it for 2 hours without any problem.
As soon as I wanted to put maschine as a plug in ableton to be able to record the separate tracks live, Ableton closed as soon as I changed the maschine group...

This has been going on for a few months now...
I think it started shortly after an ableton update.

@pablomateo yes, from what I understand is the AU plug-in that has an issue, so Mac only.
