Playback Jump When Disarming Record
Hi there,
I have a problem when recording a pattern. When I get to the end of the pattern, when I press record again so the pattern ends and stops recording the playback sometimes jumps back a couple of bars rather than to the beginning of the pattern….so say it jumps back 2 bars rather than looping back to the start of 4 bars.
I've played around with the sync settings at the top and it seemed to do it sometimes, but I'm using Maschine in Ableton today and it's doing it regardless of setting. It's really annoying and throws me when I'm in the flow of creating. I know I can just select a different pattern etc without pressing the record button again, but I like to make sure it's not recording at times while I'm trying new things out.
Is there a setting or a function that I'm missing?
Thanks

Have you tried setting start and end Loop points in your ruler? should appear as a grey bar in your ruler when set. Would be curious to see if that fixes it. That usually determines where ‘restarts’ happen from - but not sure if it would help in your recording scenario? Maybe give it a try and see if it helps?

Thanks for the response. I usually keep it on auto because i never know if it might be 4/8/16 bars etc when recording a melody, and don't want to limit it necessarily. I've just been playing around with picking an empty pattern and then pressing the record button again, that seems to do the job, just want to minimize button presses really.
