What is the physical set up for using two controllers at the same time with :Logic? Do I USB them both to my computer and have them both (hot) and play whichever I want depending on if im inputting a drum or keyboard part into Logic or do I somehow need to do a midi thru or merge the two controllers? Id prefer the (always hot) set up so I can just play whatever device I want without needing to configure each track. I suppose I can set up an elaborate template that has my drums mapped to the Mikro and my non drum tracks mapped to the S61. Is there a need to assign each input deice to its own midi channel or port and toggle the input source on whatever track Im about to lay?
Ive always had a keyboard that had drum pads and keys in the same unit. (Akai MKS37 for instance) First time having them separate so please explain the set up to my like Im 6 years old.
Thank you!

Hello,
you can do that, every DAW I know has a focus function it's even the standard setting. So selected midi controllers get routed to the current selected track. I'm not a logic user so I can't help you with the details but it should definitely be possible.
