Hello, I thought this was a temporary bug but it's been days now. I have to use a VPN to access the site. Looks like something good is finally going to happen with Traktor and now my ISP is blocked from even accessing the website. Please, it's like pulling teeth. CloudFare Ray ID is 894bf7c2684e3152 in case there is anyone other than tumbleweed remaining at the NI offices that can address this

    Yeah, there has been a lot of spam attacks from Korea.

    I will try to ping NI forum dudes/dudets and let them know it's affecting customers.

    Hello,

    There was a massive spam attack from Korean spammers, going on for months! At the end it was really too much to handle so the admins decided to block Korean IP's, as a temporary solution until we figure out a better way. The bigger problem is that the base security options are not handled directly by NI but from Vanilla Forums who is the provider of this forum.

    Deeply apologize for this situation, i am sure that our admins will find a better solution as soon as humanly possible! 🙏

    @Sand Thanks for flagging this.

    Just like Sunborn mentioned, we were discussing measures to help prevent spams coming from specific countries (Korea being one of them). Interestingly enough, we did not yet get to the bottom of it and where working through adding a captcha instead (not outright banning all traffic). We've messaged the team to get this sorted out and hopefully you can access the community normally super soon. We apologize for the hiccup 🙏

    We'll update here once we get the green light that this has been fixed.

    Thank you for the responses, sorry for the tumbleweed joke

    I understand Korean IPs are used a lot for spam attacks. I don't understand why, but this is not the first time my ISP (I think the biggest in the country) has been range-banned from accessing a website. There must be a large underground market for botting here

    Yes super strange but in any case, this is being worked on now and should be replaced by a simple captcha check for specific ip ranges. Hopefully it will do the trick and if not we'll think of other solutions.

    @Sand This should be fixed now and you should be able to access the community without a VPN.

    Please let us know if it works or you are still having issues.
