Hi All,

Im looking for help i have tried and tried and failed through searching forums and youtube etc. I run Traktor Pro 3 with an external mixer and traktor audio 10 as interface. I have a maschine mk3 to use for percussion in my dj sets. I just cannot get traktor and maschine to sync through link for some reason.

Im a windows 10 user and have set the midi input using the loopbe internal midi for both traktor and maschine as suggested. But when i set sync mode to 'receive midi clock' and hit link on both traktor and maschine the 'receive midi clock' turns off immediately and then is greyed on so i cannot re-select it. To be able to select 'receive midi clock' again link has to be turned off.

I've attached some screen shots which shows my issues

Im almost at the point where im gonna get rid of maschine and a get a push 2 instead.

Any help or advice you can offer would be massively appreciated.

As far as I understand it: Maschine can only have one clock source. If you get the clock from Ableton Link it can‘t sync to an external MIDI clock at the same time and vice versa.

Solution is to either use Ableton Link or MIDI. If you hit Link in Traktor Pro and Maschine it should take a few seconds until both found each other and all is synced. Downfall of Link: Only Master Clock in Traktor can be Master now, not a deck within Traktor.

If you want to use MIDI for clock sync do not activate Link!

Hi Mate, thanks for the response it's really appreciated. I've tried doing just the link on traktor and mashine but the sync is totally off. When I press a maschine pad for hats for example it just sounds horrific. Just cannot get it to beat sync. Tried everything. Unless I'm missing something simple.
