Cannot fully install/use older Kontakt Player Serial # libraries in K7

Aloha NI community,

I have many older Kontakt Player Serial # libraries. (Example: Chris Hein Horns)
Trying to get up and running on my new Mac Studio computer (Sonoma 14.5) with Full Version Kontakt 7 latest version—and I followed the instructions here

https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000685889-Setting-Up-a-Third-Party-Kontakt-Library#h_01GATNH7EQGK72755S35RTSY1P

I add my serial number in Native Access and the library appears to be added.

but Native Access cannot locate the library when I manually point it to the proper folders because the content folders with the .nki/.nkc/.nks etc files do not contain any .nicnt files

So I try these instructions, to 'Reinstall the Library'

https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000884238-Native-Access-Error-Path-is-invalid

but I am only given an option to 'Locate' the library — no option to install it—and I am back where I started originally.

If I just load the .nki files from the file menu, the instruments themselves will load but they are in DEMO MODE.

Are there any solutions here?

I cannot find a way to directly contact NI for support, so I appreciate any suggestions.

Thank you!

    Hello charlesparente,

If you are seeing "Locate" option besides your 3rd Party Library, these kind of libraries are Kontakt Libraries that cannot be downloaded / installed via Native Access.
Native Access is only responsible for authorising the library and locating it for use in Kontakt.
You will first need to download the library from the manufacturer

Once installed, simply follow the steps in this article to add the library to Native Access:

Thank you. I will open a support ticket for further discussion, because these older 3rd party libraries are already installed (for years) on my external hard drive, the result of installing from the original installation DVDs. They have no .nicnt files so Native Access will never be able to locate them properly.
