Why is asking for activation key ?

2 years ago i bought a kontrol s3, it camed with an activation key which I used and now after i did;'t used my controller for a few month is asking me to buy the software and lets me run only the demo version. Tried to reintroduce product key and it sgiving me an error saying that it has been allready used ….what can I do?
