What are my rights to a song I made with demo instruments?

I don't understand legal jargon very well, apologies if this was stated somewhere obvious.
If I paid for an instrument made for Kontakt but I only had Kontakt Player, would I be able to monetize/get royalties for a song I made that includes that instrument?

Well that would be fine. kontakt player is just a "lite" version of the full kontakt so doesn't matter what you use, if you have a license for the library that should be fine. The thing to keep in mind is in most cases, just common sense is all you need to go on. For someone to even try and hit you with any legal case they would need enough grounds and desire to do so, not to mention paying for the legal side of things. Unless you are doing a very blatant rip-off of something or have a very clear sample of someone else's work that you don';t have rights to, you will usually be fine. Hell even big named producers out there have eventually been caught out for using cracked plugins in the past
