Hi folks,

i'm a newcommer here.

My Guitar Rig 7Pro crashes on a Win10 German system. Sorry Screenshots are made on a german Windows OS.

Symptoms:

  • Upgraded from GR7 LE to Pro

I already tried the standard patterns mentioned in several discussions. → Update Windows, Reinitialize database, reinstalled Guitar Rig 7 several times, etc.

It wouldbe great to get Guitar Rig 7 running again, because i like it.

Maybe someone can help.

/Markus

How does the crash occur? When opening GR7? What soundcard are you using?

Have you tried to delete the user registry? Like in this article? Guitar Rig Crashes at Startup

Hello Jeremy, sorry for the late reply. I was a couple of days off.

The crash occurs when starting GR7.

I already deleted the registry entries as described in the article. Plus all the other hints mentioned in several blogs.

My soundcard is a build in AMD Soundcard on the motherboard itself.

Ok, and right after deleting the user registry, does GTR7 ask you to choose an audio driver/audio device?

Have you tried to setup Asio4All? Setting up ASIO4ALL for Onboard Sound Cards [VIDEO]

    Hi,

I used Asio4All toghether with the previously installed version of GR7 LE edition and it worked fine.

But maybe it's an idea to uninstall Asio4All and then reinstall GR7 (including deletion of the registry and database). Check GR7 without Asio4All and the reinstall Asio4All.

After deleting the user registry i haven't been asked to choose an audio driver. At least i don't remember, because i did a lot of reinstallation attempts.

    I'll keep you updated.

    Hello Jeremy,

i tried a lot of things in the meantime, deleted audio drivers, cleaned registry, cleanded installation folders, checked windows error reporting, installed/uninstalled GR7 several times. I still get the same error. Installation via Native Access seems to be fine, but starting GR7 ends up in a crash.

I tried to install the previous GR7 LE edition, but this version disappeared from the download area.

All in all, no success at all.

Thank you for forwarding my case to your support team.
