Can you sample into Maschine through usb?

Sorry if this is a dumb question..

for instruments that can send audio over usb, such as the Sp-404mk2 or the new Roland compact line - is there a way to record their output into Maschine straight over usb, as opposed to using the usual line input jacks?

what settings in Maschine should I be looking for to allow that to happen?

Those act as audio interfaces. You'd switch maschine to use the other device as the interface; and that also means you'll need to monitor from that device (or use some weird aggregate setup outside of maschine).
