Can't download libraries due to storage space

I have several N.I. products that I want to download but cannot because Native Access is telling me that I don't have enough storage space. The External drive that houses my libraries has 2.5TB of free space.

My initial problem started with macOS Sonoma having over 580GB of "Purgeable Space" that it refuses to clear up. My drive only has 14GB of actual free space.

In my preferences, I've set the download folder to the external drive, but Native Access still refuses to download the files.

How do I get Native Access to ignore the hard drive and download the files to the external?

How do I get Native Access to download the files to the space that is actually free on my hard disk, despite Sonoma's weird settings?

I ended up resolving my own problem - but I'm commenting on my own post in case it helps anyone else:

My internal hard drive ended up filled up with Time Machine backups of itself. By deleting those backups, it freed up all that "purgeable space" that I couldn't figure out.

    Thank for sharing.

This is a known thing , Quote : reffahcs 2024-03-07 (instruction screenshots included in the original post)

Check with Disk Utility to see if you have any snapshots that are taking up space.

You'll have to enable show snapshots first though if you haven't already.

You can also verify this by going to the terminal and typing du -H

If NA is complaining about disk space, more than likely you will see a difference in free space in the terminal compared to Disk Utility.
