MUTE / CUT potions of a track?
Is there any DJ software outside of a DAW that allows you to select a portion or portions of a track that yo can mark as "Silent"?
That is: Selecting that part of the waveform such that the deck will skip that portion or portions of the track…
i.e. non-destructive skipping over a part or parts of tracks you don't want…
Obviously one can do this in a DAW but that involves importing/exporting and more wasted time….
Am I crazy or dos this seem like a interesting utility?

Hello,
there where already requests for a feature like that, a skip marker if you will, reach the marker and it skips an amount of bars, positive or negative set with the bar, let's say + 16 bars, once triggered the marker turns off or after a given amount of triggers for example, useful if used to jump back

Sounds like a no brainer… is it on the roadmap?

This could be done with creative use of the loop markers (hotcues) but would sacrifice two cues.
First cue sends signal to activate the loop and that same signal enables a modifier and kills the EQ or jumps to the next cue completely skipping the section.1 -
That's a lot of work!

Just sharing ideas here :) you don't have to do it.

Yeah thanks…that's actually a clever work around!
