Hey Music lovers!

I wish to know the possible solutions to use 4 deck with DVS. Until now we use an AUDIO 10 with my friend as soundcard wich works pretty well. As guest performers its a good solution instead of a mixer with built in soundcard ( easier to connect our setup during the events). Since the NI stopped the audio 10 production there is a gap in the market there is no brand who sell external soundcards with eligible outputs for this solution.

Dear HW developers!

As the New X1 Mk3 is very impressive, did you plan to update the dj soundcard portfolio to match nowdays standards?

It's weird, not only did NI stop the AUDIO 10, but also there is no other alternative that I know of. The relative new reloop flux has only 3 decks.

I think there is just not a big market for 4 deck DVS.

You can use a mixer with build in sound card, for example the Xone 96. Or use aggregated audio devices to combine two, two deck interfaces. Sadly that never worked well for me.

    I can tell you this…

The JOY of getting rid of all that spaghetti, and switching to a single USB connection to a DJM-850, is unparalleled in my DJ journey. The external DVS interface + mixer combo was a revelation , no doubt. But, the evolution of that to a single usb connection to a DVS enabled mixer was something else for me!

Of course, you do lose completely the freedom to chose your mixer.

I "upgraded" from a Behringer DDM-4000 to a DJM-850, and, I do miss a lot of the creativity that the DDM-4k offered. But, I certainly DON'T miss the spaghetti!!! ( I say "upgraded" (in parenthesis) because I lost a whole assignable FX unit in the switch. I really liked the DDM-4K).

There are several audio interfaces with enough inputs and outputs but usually without phono preamps. Therefore you either need turntables which have line level outputs or separate phono preamps for each turntable.

I expect there is no great market for special DVS interfaces for 4 decks anymore. Most current club mixers which really get installed have integrated interfaces now. If a DJ wants to use DVS it is much easier just to connect USB instead wiring up turntables to an interface and the interface to the mixer. Especially if the mixer and turntables are an permanent install and cables aren't well accessible. Xone:PX5, Xone:96, DJM-900nexus2, DJM-A9, DJM-V10 all have interfaces. Exceptions which I may expect at some venues are Xone:92 or Play Differently Model 1 and Model 1.4. Everything else should be really rare by now or has less than 4 channels.

And even if there is no mixer with integrated interface I personally would stick to an Reloop Flux and 3 decks (or even Denon DS 1 and only 2 decks as I already own it) or bring my own mixer if possible. If I really would need 4 decks in a setup without integrated interface in the mixer I would try to get a used Audio 10. There are really no good alternatives as far as I know for 4 decks.

Hi, the only alternative is to get on Audio 10, RANE SL4 (check compatibility with your operating system) or if you have a mac, 2 interfaces and joining them :D (with windows works, but not as good and i think its a little dangerous if you go live).

The companies are not interested in DVS systems anymore (the reloop flux was a surprise), its more like a niche, like Vinyl (more niche). Im one of those old farts. :D . Everybody wannt controllers or cdjs, its easier to mix (a couple of hours and you are ready to go) and accesible to all people (at least the controllers).

    Hope this help :D

I just upgraded from audio 10 (with xone:pb and 4 channel analog mixer) to a PX5 with has inbuilt soundcard for 4 deck dvs. Bonus: no more spaghetti!
With more and more mixers available that have built in interfaces, the market for the audio10 is gone.
That said, anybody interested in an Audio10 with all the cabled, timecode records and licence transfer?
