What files presented to me via the Native Access Application are absolutely Necessary?
I have a question for all the Maschine Studio Users out there! I studied several How-To videos on how to properly install the Maschine Studio ver 2 software. I spent quite a while installing what I was led to believe were the proper "Necessary Modules" to get my device up and running - which it now appears to be.
My concern is that I think that I "over-installed" some NI software that has little or nothing directly to do with my Maschine Studio device… So Which Files are Absolutely Necessary for the device and which are "Optional but Functional" with the Maschine 2 device?
And here is the last bit… Which NI options were presented to me via Native Access that I possibly should NOT have installed as they are functionally useless for my particular Maschine Studio ver. 2 product?
Thanks so much, I am so impressed with my Native Instruments Maschine Studio!

We don't have a document with a list of all the files on WIndows, there are so many! The general advice would be not to delete files after installation.

@Funny-Farm-Sound Well, you might want to keep Kontakt as it's the application that can load Kontakt libraries and all the other products included in Komplete Select, the bundle that comes with the device:

Hello Jeremy_NI:
Thanks for the prompt reply!
I have looked at my new installation a bit more since I posted. Here is my question a bit more re-phrased.
I have noticed that there are items like "Kontrol" and "Guitar-Rig" - things like this that were presented to me via Native Access but for which I do not have any "proper-interface" to utilize (or do I?). So were they presented to me as a "Teaser", because my Maschine Studio will scan those directories and find some useful files? I am just interested in the A). Absolutely Necessary and B). Any Useful files and content as would enhance my installation of strictly Mashine Studio ver. 2.x.
I ask this for utility reasons as well - some of the "Other Questionable Files and Applications" are quite large in size - increasing back-up times enormously!
I realize that the "safest" mode for me would be to leave things alone and to allow Maschine time to scan and update it's index of usable files - but did I really need all I have downloaded?
P.S. There are still some nice looking "Freebies" left dangling on the site that look far more useful to me than some of the packages I was led to believe I needed to download and install.
Thanks and please pardon my display of ignorance.

I still would like to know if I downloaded more "Stuff" than my Maschine Studio can effectively utilize. I have looked at my installation a bit more closely since last evening and I wonder if the files and applications like: "Guitar Rig" and "Kontact" are related to my "Maschine Studio" installation or are they "teasers" bundled with "Native Access" as sometimes is done to show users what new stuff is available. Perhaps the Maschine File Scanner can "scrape" some sound-sets from these applications for which I have no interface for…
I have big plans for my Maschine Studio. It will be the "Nexus" of my new studio and the center of all my work-flow. I do not need files and applications on that computer that simply have no place on a dedicated Maschine Studio ver. 2.xx Installation. Back-up alone would take up considerable time as some of those possibly useless applications are several gigabytes in size!
Any advice will be helpful as I am just starting out here! I am sorry if I am ignorant!

Hello Again Jeremy_NI!
To rather bluntly sum up then, I did not "Break" anything by what I have (over) loaded. Maschine Studio 2 will "Scrape" from any/all the various folders/directories any files it can both display and use, is that correct?
My take away is that I should just switch Maschine Studio 2 back on and let it finish its job, (spinner stops spinning) as it "knows" what it can use and will "auto-arrange" the files in preparation for the heavy use I intend to put it through!
Maschine Studio 2 is a really beautiful piece of equipment and the device and I just "clicked" straight away. There is one slight item that may or may come up with the device… The control knobs seem to be made of a particular "rubberized" material that I have seen (on other devices) which if not treated in some way, tend to degrade and slowly "gelling" over time. Is there any treatment that is recommended to prevent this degradation from potentially occurring to my beloved unit? Such as the various "Armor All" types of protestant?
There is always the "replace the knobs and dial" approach, but I would prefer not to have to.
Thanks everyone for this very useful and instructive forum in which I am allowed to "stand upon the shoulders of giants…"!
Very soon now I am going to get "Cranking!"
