Advice on new set up

Hi all. I just got all my djing stuff out from storage been there since my kid was born (scared she would ruin it) I have

2x 1210mk2

Djm800 in pioneer dj flight case (needs a new head phone jack as it’s sunk into the mixer still works. The effect button is sticky stills works probably £100in repairs I hope )

a audio 8 with time coded vinyl

X1 mk1

My computer has had its day. I have been playing with the s2 and the MacBook cuts out to black screen or switch off completely my battery can’t hold a charge. no memory left won’t let me update currently running on OS X El Capitan 10.11.6

so I have decided to take the plunge and get a Apple MacBook Air 13-Inch M2 (2022). Also a second hand s4mk2 so I can keep my turntables my question is will I be able to use my turntables with time coded vinyl

Basically I would like to run Traktor on a new MacBook with my turntables is there anything else I would need or do to make my dream come true (planning on selling djm800 , s2mk1, x1mk1,audio8 if not needed)

Any other suggestions would be appreciated

Sounds like a decent plan.

You can also take a look if you can get a used s4 mk3 for a decent price. I sometimes see them as low as 500 EUR. They are quite nice. But I'm sure a mk2 will also do.

probably going to buy brand new s4 so its good to go with traktor 3 will I need anything else just my two turntables new Mac and s4 will I need to get anything else. I had to use the audio8 last time for timecoded vinyl do I need something similar thanks again

Nah, the s4 has phono in and can handle timecode vinyl just fine. I think both mk2 and mk3 will do fine for that.

Well audio8 will not work any more. (On mac OS)

For x1mk1 you need to install a 3rd party "hack" to make it work again (on mac OS)

djm800 is still cool. Though without audio8 or similar not that useful for traktor. You can get an used audio6 for 50 - 80 EUR used sometimes. If you want to use it.

s2mk1 should still work and might be fun for when you head over to a mate or whatever. Playing at a small party.
