komplete audio 1 problem recording

hey, so my komplete audio 1 randomly one day didnt work properly. when i plug in my bass and start up DAW signal going in it is around -54DB. when i put it on direct monitor it sounds normal and gain knob is working properly. someone told me the AD/DA adapter is broken but it renders windows audio properly. can any of you help me?

    Hello,

    Have you tested with a line source, if you have a cable to test it I would do that. Also check all audio mixer settings in your os maybe the input is turned down there somewhere. Only if you use asio on windows it does not apply, if you don't already use asio then pls set it as audio device in your daw.
