How to work with 3/4, 6/8 time signature

Please someone help me out with a little detail notes on how to set up 3/4 or 6/8 patterns.

I am composing music in 3/4 time signature and 160 bpm in Studio One. How do I create a 4 bar loop with 3/4 or 6/8 time signature in Session Percussionist?

I know there is post somewhere with a one liner answer on how to do it, but unfortunately I couldn't figure out what steps I need to take. Thank you in advance.
