Issue with split keyboard in Kontakt (using Cubase)?
The Problem: I am able to create a split keyboard with an S61 Mk2 in a Kontakt multi rack. I split the keyboard with the key range and MIDI transpose controls on the instruments. The keys work for each instrument as expected. One side is Session Bassist - Upright bass and the other is Bassoon in Orchestral Tools. I'm running this on Cubase. When I press a key on one side it kills the tone on the other side. This eliminates playing a bass line with a melody line.
I watched the Mk3 video showing the brass ensemble and the string ensemble. Does this work on the Mk2 with any Konkakt instrument? This is just what I would like to do, but clearly don't understand how.
Alternatively I have considered using the Control Editor to create two channels and ranges. That looks to be more challenging, though I have used he Control Editor for Maschine before. It appears this path would allow the use of Komplete Control.
Could someone help me with a suggestion on how to proceed?

Hello,
have you also gave different midi channels to the split zones?

Uwe, I'm encouraged from your comment that there is a way to do this and I'm determined to sort it out. With various music and other activities going on I haven't been methodical enough to get through this road block.
I have been trying to setup different midi channels to the split zones and haven't yet succeeded. I will put a more significant block of time on this, document for myself and then describe the steps taken so it might be easier to identify and provide guidance where I have made my mistakes.
