Issue with Komplete Audio 6 MIDI

I have been using my Komplete Audio 6 with no problems for four years. I'm using Logic Pro on a Mac running OS Catalina 10.15.7. Yesterday when I started my system, the MIDI function was not working. The MIDI light is not illuminated. Audio is still working fine. MIDI is still working fine when I connect the computer to my Roland keyboard with an old USB MIDI connector. I wasn't able to download the drivers because my mac refused to open them, as it was unable to verify a possible malware threat. Is it time to get a new Komplete Audio, or does anyone have any suggestions for a fix?

@stig dowell There are no drivers needed on Mac. How does the soundcard look in your Audio & MIDI set up (choose MIDI window)? Can you share a screenshot?

What version of the KA6, is it the MK1 or MK2? Have you tried on another computer?

Have you tried updating the firmware? You can find the Firmware updaters here: https://www.native-instruments.com/en/support/downloads/drivers-other-files/

Thanks very much Jeremy. It is a MK2. Unfortunately, after I posted my question the unit failed completely - literally dead with no lights on at all, so I’ve taken the plunge and ordered a new one. Crossing fingers it will work fine but if not I will follow up.

@stig dowell Yes, that definitely sounds like a hardware failure. Let us know when you get the new one.
