Hi community,

I would like to purchase a pair of X1 MK3 controllers within my Xone 92 mixer. I think that I need a external soundcard in order to pair both controllers with the mixer and them my laptop. Which is the most appropiate soundcard that fulfills my requirements? I didn't see enough information regarding that.

Thanks in advace for your help :)

You don't pair those controller with the mixer. They are just connected to the computer to control traktor, much like a keyboard.

If you want to use 4 decks, you need at least a soundcard with 4x 2 channels, so 8 outs in total. If you want to make use of send and return with traktor effects you want two more channels.

And then there is also the case for incoming signals. For example for DVS.

You could get a used Traktor Audio 10. (Audio 8 is older and not supported any more)

But anything that has the appropriated amount of channels for the stuff you want to use should work.

(Or sell the 92 and get a 96, much easier to connect :) )

    Hi @lord-carlos,

Nice, in my case I should have a soundcard with 4x2 channels. I didn't ntice the fact that I need 2 more channels for the Traktor effects.

I wanna know what would be the difference of using a xone 96. It has a built-in soundcard?

Thank you so much for your clarification :)

Yes, xone 96 has two build in sound cards, so you can connect 2 computers.

The 96 has 12 channels, so you can have 4 decks, 1 send return .. and something else. And also get phono or line in back into traktor. And record out as well. All with a single cable.

Oh yeah, if you want to record your sets on the 92 you need 2 input channels for that. But most devices that have 8 outputs should have plenty of ins as well.
