Hi everyone,

i can't see my new session Bassist - upright Bass.

How can I do?

I've installed the software on my Mac, but in Kontakt 7 I can't see it. Why?

In the NATIVE ACCESS I see it, and it is installed.

I think I wrong something... but I don't know what is my mistake.

Please, I need help for this problem.

Thanks a lot!

Cheers.

Pier

    Hi,

Same for me. The message is shown on the attached screenshot when I try to load the instrument from the hard drive as it does not show in Kontakt.

I am using Kontakt 7.8.1 in Big Sur, which is not compatible with 7.9.0, but the NI website shows Upright Bass is compatible with 7.1.8.

Any thoughts? I have tried the My KONTAKT 7 Browser is Empty or Incomplete ? link to no avail.

How do I get this through to Native Instruments?

    Cheers

well that's 3 of us when considering Upright Bass. Tried the clear out of data bass and rebooting kontakt in standalone, but that achieved nothing.

if there are any solutions i'm like the other guys still looking for an answer

    Hi Guys,

I have raised a "ticket" with Native Instruments regarding the matter and when I get a response I will update.

Same issue here on Big Sur running Kontakt 7.8.1...... is there even a Kontakt 7.9 released yet? By the specs listed by NA we shouldn't be having an issue.

NI support shows Kontakt requirements as MacOS 12 or higher.

The screenshot posted earlier also clearly states what the problem is.

Presumably new products require newer Kontakt, newer Kontakt requires more recent OS.

That might be true if the Session Bassist - Upright Bass required Kontakt 7.9, but it clearly states in the spec that the minimum is 7.1.8. If NI is going to limit new instruments to Kontakt 7.9, and therefore MacOS 12 or higher, it needs to be clear on every new release.

Maybe it's a typo and should read 7.8.1?

If it did I would be OK. I would guess that the lower spec 7.1.8 allows for wider use than requiring all users to be bang up to date. I really think the problem is related to how the Upright Bass file was saved with Kontakt 7.9. I hazard a guess that it was a mistake to do so.

Did any of you go into File/options and see if your Kontakt is using an older Native Access rather than the new version where you installed the plugin?

Hey everyone, there's a mistake regarding minimum versuion required for Session Bassist - Upright Bass, the actual minimum version is 7.9. Sorry about this hiccup.

    Hi Jeremy,

I hope you will you be offering the option of a full refund to all customers who are not planning to upgrade to 7.9, and will 7.9 now be the norm for all new NI products?

    Cheers

    Hi Jeremy,

Thank you for your response. In my previous post I asked if 7.9 will be the minimum for new NI products going forward. If it is, it might be the spur to upgrade my MacOS.

    Cheers
