To your convenience you can let it play and if you find a preset that you are interested in or you want to use for your new project simply look at the screen. There you can note down the preset name of the preset.

That's cool, but also kind of not. It is best to audition manually and exploring how the presets respond to the modwheel, aftertouch, and so forth, as sometimes that's where the preset shines, and sometimes it is a matter of playing a riff, arp, or chord(s).
