Is it possible for an input connector to fail on an audio 4 dj?

If the speakers are connected to the output of the PC rather than to the mixer, then because the input is mono, the output will also be mono.

We don't know how everything's connected.

@Usherman What mixer are you using, and are the speakers connected to the output of the mixer?

Sorry my mistake. It is connected into the line-in with an RCA Y cable. Plus I recorded the left deck using Audacity and the recording was stereo. Right deck is playing half channel.

Yes, my left turntable is in stereo and my right turntable sound only comes out of the left speaker (using DVS, stereo in both using vinyl through phono)

I'm using a two channel Reloop Rmx 10bit. My turntables are plugged into the inputs of Audio 4 (swapping to direct path when playing vinyl) and the Audio 4 outputs are plugged into the mixer inputs of channel one and two. Both channels are switched to line.

It's like Groundhog Day round here! Where are the speakers connected?

It's pointing to a problem with the Audio 4 output (or the cable from that output to the mixer).

As the mixer has an LED output meter, do you see only one channel lighting when you play the right deck?

Have you swapped the left deck/right deck RCA cables from the Audio 4 outputs, to make sure it's not a dodgy cable?

The mixer is connected to a stereo system via a new RCA cable to the mixer output. The speakers are connected to the back of the stereo console with keyed connectors that can only be put in one way. All RCA cables have been swapped and work as per normal when playing vinyl in phono. The LED shows one channel when playing and if I swap the cables it appears on the opposite side. Trust me, I've gone through all the low hanging fruit possibilities. 30+ years of club djing and plenty of problem solving during that time.

    Problem has been solved!

It was indeed my new mixer. My other mixer (Vestax 06 Pro) had a channel problem too (I wrongly assumed it was the same issue) but turns out it must've been a dodgy RCA when I was using it last year. Since I replaced all RCA's with my new mixer, I thought as a long shot, I'll plug my Vestax in again for one last try....and hey presto! everything fine. I really didn't expect a brand new mixer to have issues off the bat...but there you go. Thanks for taking the time out to help me. This thread can now be closed.

That makes no sense, how would switching left/right on the A4 output have any influence if it was the mixers fault?

Are you sure the a4 does not have a shaky connection?

    I'm so confused. 🤔

The mixer is faulty, but it all works normally when playing vinyl? Er....

Yup don't get it either. Reloop 10bit bluetooth mixer. Just doesn't like digital I guess. Will take it back to the shop and get them to open it up. Must've been faulty out of the factory. I've had a faulty cpu before so it's within the realms of possibility that it's faulty too.

I think you should try the mixer again.
