Open Question to someone on the NA product team

Can someone please tell me what NA2 is doing when the busy GIF is whizzing round and preventing NA from being used for its intended purposes.

At the moment, if I actually manage to open up NA2 without issues, the busy GIF is busy for 7 minutes and 20 seconds and trying to use NA during that time usually leads to disaster.

Please...what can it be doing and why?

I'm led to believe it is due to the mount of plugins I have, but I see no logic in that as NA doesn't use any third party plugins it doesn't install, and it should already be very aware of them

The answer to the above question appears to be apparently not.

Anyway, thanks to a kind person elsewhere I've actually been able to find out just what it's doing... it's scanning the entirety of my VST3 folder...........................

Er...WHY?

So I'm waiting over seven minutes for NA2 to be usable whilst it scans something it doesn't use.

Please explain to everybody what advantages there are for anyone with this cough 'approach'.
