Kontakt 7 vs Kontakt Player Knobs should they work on both because mine only work in komplete Kontro

I have M32 keyboard usb to imac running Sonoma 14.3

usb directly to imac

I have Ableton lite

As you can see above I have Kontakt 7 Player installed as well as Komplete kontrol

My simple problem is my 8 knobs work in Komplete Kontrol but do not work in Kontakt 7 PLAYER

So Why is that is it because I have the player version?

Its not very help full to a new user when its called Kontakt 7 as well as Kontakt player see below in top right hand corner and in the middle of the screen at the top its Kontakt 7 and then underneath the yellow dot it says Kontakt player

and in my Launch pad it Kontakt 7

Any ideas bearing in mind I'm a complete beginner

in this situation my knobs work as Im using Komplete Kontrol and all works with Ableton lite

and if i load Kontakt 7 player on its own or inside a DAW they do not as picture below

I have tried a few midi settings but nothing seems to work

Hopefully its "they dont work with player you have to upgrade" but because that is the only explanation I can think off

You have to upgrade, but not the software. Only the MK3 keyboards work with Kontakt when it's not running inside Komplete Kontrol. For other keyboards you have to use Komplete Kontrol.
