Firmware-Update for S61 results in non-functional keyboard
Since the last firmware update for the Kontrol 'S61' Mk3 the keys don't work anymore. The connect with Kontrol 7 Player is functional, Sounds can be loaded, but the input MIDI config fails. The S61 cannot be set to ON anymore. I hope that a corrective Update will fix the keyboard fail hopefully really soon.
Is there a S61 user with the same issue?

From your profile I gather that you are using Windows 11 and that the keyboard in question is a Kontrol S61 Mk3.
You ought not wait for any updates if you have issues like that , you need to contact N.I. Hardware Support immediately and have them fix either your problem or address the firmware problem if it is one !

Thank you. I have opened a ticket at the Native Instrument Support.

After receiving email confirmation then please allow support up to 5 work days to answer and if they do not respond within 5 work days then politely update your ticket to let support know that you are still waiting for a response ! Also N.I. support do not work in the weekend or on holidays !

thx PoorFellow. I am in contact with Ross@NI, but his first advise does not lead to a solution. The problem is shown in the attached screenshot of the settings in Kontakt 7. The midi settings for input fail when I try to set the S61 as midi input source. It is "OFF" and every option I choose (like Port A or one of the other Ports) will not be accepted. In the end it still stands on "off".

I had an issue similar to yours once...with my MK3.
I couldn't get the keyboard to show "on", no matter what I tried to do.
Eventually, a reboot (I'm Windows 11) and some other stuff seemed to fix it:
- Power off my MK3 and Reboot Windows.
- Before opening a bunch of random windows, I started the MK3, then started Kontakt 7, and went into settings. Made sure MIDI and Audio were correctly defined, and made sure I could play sounds through Kontakt 7.
- Next, I closed Kontakt 7 and opened Komplete Kontrol (I think we were on 3.1 back when it happened to me).
- Go into KK's settings and confirm MIDI and Audio (just like I did for 2 above for Kontakt), then confirm that I can play sounds through Komplete Kontrol WITH the MK3 keyboard.
Those things worked. I have no idea if the entire sequence was needed, or if just one of those steps above was what fixed the problem. But it's only 4 steps; might be worth trying, right?

@Hooky , sorry I did not spot your comment before now. If you want to make sure that someone see your post then use the 'at' sign like I just did to you or use the quote below the post.
Alas I do not have any personal experience with the S-Series MK3 so probably Ross NI or BIF will be better at helping you with this particular issue !
If it is not a firmware issue then perhaps it could be the hardware agent/driver/? or with the Komplete Kontrol app. but there have already been a variety of issues , and some of them has to do with the keyboard not being registered correctly in Windows driver wise and other is referred to deeper USB-C connection issues, so for me here then I could hardly even begin to guess since I do not even know where to start with something like this. I would try BIF's advice or else continue to work with support It might take time but support ought to be able to get you there or raise it as a bug and then fix it !

Just out of curiosity, do you have Hardware Connection Service installed in Native Access? If so, what version is it?

Also an excellent question.
