So I am not a Native Instruments user.
In the past I used FM7 FM8, Absynth. Nor Kontakt as I am multisampling my own stuff.
The hardware I own to schetch ideas on is missing proper audio recording. No guitar input or proper multitracking on My OP1 or Pioneer SP16.
So the Machine_ is a good candidate, I could perhaps built my liveset around it. Record ideas from keys, bas, guitar, voice... Machine+ looks really promising. More or less Ableton's push but hardware.
The built quality is splendid and the thing looks damn sexy.
The pads play very well and it a joy to finger drum on them. Playing keys on it is not so great but ok.
Machine+ has been plagued by issues, stuttering, glitches, high cpu etc. But the latest update should take care of those. Well I updated directly,
Multi sampling is the thing that motivate me to buy it.
The expansions are great although it is not very creative if you don't select your own sounds in my opinion.
Now after 3 days with Machine I made 1 track and got to know it a bit.
But there are issues. Often the low end just sucks, often there are glitches, kick drums sound like an mp3, Why? I have only one kit open.. not much fx and cpu is already 35%. When you play fast it often stutter...slightly.
The sound is dull, no oversampling it seems and the dynamic range seems low.
It just does not sound good to me.
So disappointing but I am returning it,
