Is there some secret to installing Kontakt Player on Mac Sonoma/M1 Max ?

I was able to install Native Access and the Daemon. Enabled Full Disk Access for both. I can't install anything else. It all fails ! I have tried removing old versions by hand (I didn't see an uninstall option).

I wrote support a few days ago and haven't heard back.

I did a search but didn't see much that seemingly applies here.

I have obviously installed lots of software and never had an issue like this.

Any ideas ?

Thanks ! e

You need to be logged into your Mac as an Administrator

If you have Private Relay in your OS turned on then try disabling that !

also check the Notes on Network Drives and Disk Formats

Earlier for other type of problems another user changed the permissions to read/write for the destination folder and changed the permissions to read/write for the desktop , so please check your permissions on your chosen file folder destination set in Native Access just to be sure !

Else , is there any error messages or anything else that you can share ?

    Hi PoorFellow,

Thanks for the speedy reply !

My user IS an admin account. (it's my laptop at home)

I just checked and Private Relay is off.

The drive that its being installed on is my Mac System Drive, though I do have a NAS attached to my setup.

Also I was able to install Native Access and the Daemon...just nothing else.

I will try the permission thing, though as an admin, I should have read/write access to the desktop. Where is it trying to install the samples etc ? I just changed permissions in the user/ApplicationSupport/NativeInstruments and the nativeaccess2 folder to readwrite for ALL users and will try that in a minute.

    Thanks ! e

Sorry , my bad for not being clear enough with "folder destination set in Native Access" I meant the folders set in folder management.

I am sorry for not having been more helpful , all I can do is to help getting some of the most basic things checked. The resident customer care Mac expert has not been in the forum today. But since you already contacted support then let us hope that they can fix things for you asap . If they do not respond within a week at most then please update your ticket !

I just tried rebooting my computer (after changing permissions for the directories, and same thing.

When I rebooted I was asked to install a helper by NTKDaemon (which seemed to work) then I launched Access and tried to install Kintakt7 Player. Got the same error message I always get.

Of course I have tried 'these steps' and though the instruction are based on the old control panel version, I knew what they want and changed all those days ago.

    Still not giving up !

    Thanks ! e

What are your Native Access version ? When you wrote : "install Native Access and the Daemon" , did you download the newest version of Native Access for your OS and installed that ? It says that first version of Native Access with Sonoma compatibility was  3.8.0

Also it says that the software is supported on Mac silicon and I have no idea how to use this Rosetta 2 or the range for it's use so I have no idea if it could be used here !

I think that @Jeremy_NI most likely will know what to do so let us hope that he spots this tomorrow Friday !

Native Access version is 3.9. Everything I tried to install was downloaded thru the Access App so theoretically current.

Other than that not much else to try. Very frustrating !

Of course, thanks for all yiur help, and hopefully Jeremy will have some answers.

    Thanks again

Sorry to learn that your problem persists. Alas Jeremy were not here Friday as he usually is and I have no idea why so I don't even know if he will be back on Monday to work his magic !

Else my only other suggestion would be to try to contact install support !

@elwood Can you install Kontakt 7 from here: KONTAKT 7.8.1 ? Then open Native Access to activate it, is it working now?
