You can set up MIDI CCs to the X and Y, then you can create automations with these CCs in Cubase.

Just experimented and was able to set up a user setting in the morphing section but it doesn't seem to sync with the music track that I have recorded. It seems to run short or it may not be syncing with the time signature set in Cubase. any ideas?
Am I able to somehow record an ongoing morphing pattern through a lengthy track? It seems to only go for a few bars or part there of
thank you in advance

Is there any chance that you could elaborate on this I don't know what ccs are.
Or perhaps just a brief summary of the procedure and where to find things as external plug-ins are a new thing for me even though I've been using Cubase for many years.
Thank you once again for taking the time

Thank you Jeremy I think I may have solved it the oscillating arm on my 849 Roland controller will move the y-axis but I have no control over the X axis, unless I've missed something thank you for your time anyway

Well, you can learn about MIDI CCs here: MIDI CC Lists and Explanations - Control Change
I think you don't even need the actual controller, you can draw MIDI CC automations straight from Cubase, I found this one by googling it:
