Has anyone tried to record a mix using Traktor 3 Pro + Rane MP2015 Mixer

I have a second (older computer) with Windows 8 and Traktor 2 Pro and it works totally fine. Unfortunately Traktor 2 Pro is not longer supported on Windows 11 and so I need to upgrade but want to know if Traktor 3 Pro supports the rotary mixer Rane MP2015

Hello,

traktor would work with the device, the problem is that the USB interface of the mp2015 is not working with windows 10/11 as far as I found out. So maybe you ask in some rane forum. You could buy an external interface with an output count you need, 2 up to 4 stereo outs, use this from traktor to go out and then use rca to go into the deck/channel inputs of the mp2015.

Thanks for your answer. A friend of mine uses Traktor 3 Pro so I was able to test everything using his computer, it took me some time but it finally worked. I'm not sure what you mean by the "USB interface of the mixer does not work with windows 10/11" but doing more research online I did see a few people mentioning that Windows 10/11 won't recognize the mixer.

My friend's computer has Windows 11 Pro installed and it seems to be working fine. The only weird thing is that if I try to look for the "Rane Control Panel" app using the search bar it won't come up as installed, so I had to look for the application in the destination folder, only then I was able to open it (see screenshots).

The rest is just configuring the Traktor app. accordingly. Hope this helps others!

I didn't want to buy an external interface, that just defeats the purpose of the mixer's built-in sound card. Also I don't want to spend more money =)

Cool that it works even on windows 11, I only found people posting about not getting it to work with the driver. If I remember correctly it is officially supported up to windows 8.1.

Yeah, I couldn't find anything specific about Windows 10/11 support for the MP2015 driver in the Rane website, however it works (at least the combination MP2015 and Traktor 3 Pro, I'm not sure about other software).

I'm thinking most people did the same thing I did, they tried to look for the app using the search bar and it didn't show up so they just assumed that it wasn't working? (I uninstalled/installed several times thinking there was an issue with the installation) but all I had to do was to open the app through the destination folder.
