Middle East Not Playing Microtone Scales Given the Root Note Other Than C?
I am trying to figure this out...
For example, when I pull out Kanun in the Middle east library, I assign the MIcrotonal Scale HIjaz, and it plays fine, but only with the root note C. When I change the root note, for example to E, I loose all the microtones from the scale, and the keybed becomes tonal. I can only use the microtonal scales in the key of C and this is not useful to me. Is this a known issue? Does anyone know if this works???

This sounds like it may have something to do with the design of the instrument.
Tagging @Matthew_NI because he's the first person I thought of...😁

Also tagging @Jeremy_NI because he's probably the right person anyway. 😏

@Roko Djokovic You should be able to change the root note here, you can even tone up or down the scaling.
One of my colleagues did this little video to showcase (zipped & attached)
Also attaching the manual, check section 3.5.3
